The Clos Apalta Lapostolle Winery is an extraordinary place to be experienced during your visit to Colchagua Valley. Architecturally stunning, this winery was created in 1994 by the Marnier Lapostolle family from France and the Rabat family from Chile. The original vines at this winery were brought over from France in the last century and descended from a great French lineage.
Nestled in the Apalta hills, the owners put alot of thought and time into the design and architecture. The winery descends six floors down, a design dedicated exclusively to the gravitational production of their Clos Apalta Icon wine. The massive display of exposed granite in the wine library demonstrates their intentions to connect man and nature, and the tall wood posts in the garden stand high to frame visitors’ views across the Colchagua Valley.
The Marnier Lapostolle family, founders and owners of the world-renowned liqueur Grand Marnier, are known for producing spirits and liqueurs, but the family has also been involved in wine-making for generations.
