The Ruta del Vino Colchagua Valley was the first wine tourism circuit created in Chile back in 1997 and is made up of 18 vineyards located in the Colchagua Valley. The vineyards along the wine route include Casa Silva, Cono Sur, VOE (Emiliana Organic Vineyards), Luis Felipe Edwards, Viu Manent, Casa Lapostolle, Montes, Laura Hartwig, Stamp, MontGras, Bisquertt the Basques, Hacienda El Araucanian, Siegel, Del Nuevo Mundo, Santa Rita, Santa Helena and Santa Cruz.
Each vineyard offers daily tours for wine tasting so guests can learn about the history of the land, local culture and wine making process. Most of the vineyards also offer a variety of tour programs and some even include making and bottling your own wine. If you are planning a visit to the wineries, it’s best to make reservations ahead of your visit.
Colchagua Valley has become internationally recognized as one of the regions of the world where the best wines are born making it a popular destination for wine tourism.
